Happy New Year!

WordPress has changed again, and it’s thrown me off because I don’t like change and having to learn something all over again. But I like to blog when I’m in the mood, so I just need to jump right in there and do it!

Today is the first day of a new year. I can’t believe that 2008 is over! I wish I could have accomplished more in the last year, and I feel like I did do quite a lot, but it wasn’t enough. I need to find the secret of getting myself organized enough to get everything done that I’d like to get done and out of my way. Most of the problem is having too much time, I think. But whatever the secret is, I need to find it and make it work for me. I’m running out of time and I want to accomplish so much more than I know I’ll have the time to do. When you’re in your 20’s and 30’s, you don’t think about running out of time. But when you reach 60+ and you can almost see the years go by like days, it gets a little scary when you think of all the things you’d still like to do that you haven’t done yet. I need to quit wasting time.

Well enough of this. My new year’s resolution, even though I don’t really believe in making any, will be to try to use my time to the best advantage. No more “playing” with projects. I need to do only the things I really want to do and then stick to them until they’re done.

I got all the scarves done that I’d made myself a commitment to doing. They will be boxed up and sent to the Special Olympics.

I feel like that’s quite an accomplishment for 2008.
