Summer’s here

June 5, 2008

My grandsons are out of school for the summer. (I’m sure they’re disappointed about that! Ha) Two of them live in Jeff City, but their mom brought them down here to spend a couple of weeks with their dad. We had a BBQ at our house and our #1 daughter with hubby and two boys came over also. We had a nice time. It had been raining earlier, and I was getting a little nervous. But soon the sun came out and it turned out almost hot! That’s better than rain, though, so I can handle that.

I bought bubbles for the boys to play with outside. They’re all teens, or almost, so I wasn’t sure they would play with them, but it was a success as you can see. . . . . . .

This just goes to prove that you’re never too old for some old-fashioned fun.

Our new store is looking like a SuperCenter now. It looks funny with the grocery section not there yet. Our opening day is June 11, less than a week away! We’ve all been VERY busy getting the old store moved over to the new one. We’ll have three days to finish getting out of the old store before they start tearing it down. Then they’ll start building the new and last part to hold our grocery area. It’s all supposed to be done by Jan. ’09.

The new store is really nice! It’ll be nice to work there and have all new equipment to work with. I work in the accounting office and we have tape, paper clips, etc. holding our equipment together right now. The coin counter is making a really bad sound. I hope it will just last through next Tues.!

I haven’t talked about my crafts for a while. Of course I haven’t written about anything for a while. I got angry with the blog people for changing the set-up so I couldn’t add pics. I had a really old computer that didn’t have the option that I needed. Hubby took the old computer away, hooked up his laptop for me to use, and then my wonderful #1 daughter came over and showed me how to add pics. So now I’m a happy camper again.

I’ll bring you up-to-date on my crafts in the next entry. In the meantime, I hope you’ve been keeping your fingers busy crafting!
